Studio History

Southern Light Photography is the home of award winning photographer Jeff Carsten. His years of experience have taught him that you can capture wonderful images of real people if you let them relax and show their personality.

“Capturing life, love and laughter” is more than just a slogan. It’s a philosophy and creative force that defines the studio experience. Jeff says, “I want everyone to have a great time here, and to come away with photographs that speak to the heart. We want nothing but happy customers.”

The studio has grown over the years to its current configuration, some 2000 square feet, with a 35’ long camera room — one of the few studios large enough for full length bridal portraits. The studio has full changing facilities, a comfortable viewing room, in-house digital processing, and a friendly dog.
