HDR in sunny California

Monday, April 5th, 2010

Can you believe that these images are stored up in our computers and not being displayed any where! Jeff took these photos on a trip out to California last year when he was studying HDR.

The first one photo was taken at an observatory overlook.  The second one is another HDR shot titled, “Glowing Cactus”.  The third is “Hidden Valley At Dawn”.  I love the exposure and the colors in all of these image.

Thanks Heather for the great review!

“The best Charlotte photography company to work with. I really enjoy getting to know the company. Jeff  and his team really know how to capture the moment for personal photos to personable family shots.”

Words of Affirmation

Tuesday, March 9th, 2010

Here is the review:

We had our child’s first portrait session here for the growth panel- a series of photos from pre-sitting, sitting, and first steps.  We’re just at the first leg and so far we’re really happy. Excellent quality, personal attention,  and I love that this is a local family business, not a chain or corporation. I’ll update this as we go along.

PS they have really cool bookmarks available with your photo and you can have a name written in on it- it looks really sharp!

The Five Love Languages is a book written by Gary Chapman who is an expert when it comes to relationships. He suggest that there are 5 love languages and each person has their own way of feeling loved. What are they you ask?

1. Acts of Service       2. Words of Affirmation           3. Gifts         4. Personal Touch       5. Quality Time

What does this have to do with photography? Well, the love languages can be used in any relationships. You friends have a love language, your kids, your mailman, and yes, even your photography studio has one.

You might have guessed it by now, our love language is  words of affirmation. One of the best compliments we can get is a referral and that all comes for talking about your great experience here with us.   I want to encourage you to leave us a little love note about the laughter, smiles, funny moments, even the ones that are really sentimental, on our google site if you feel led to do so. I also wanted to say thanks to Diane for the praise…. thanks Diane!!

A sweet a.m. surprise…

Thursday, January 14th, 2010

What a pleasant surprise it was this morning when I arrived to my office to find a hand written card from Zac Rilley from Peace At Home and Margaret from the Parents’ Association of Providence Day. Both were letters of gratitude for participating in their silent auction.

We’ve received many notes similar to these from other organizations and everyone is just as lovely. I guess it just reminded how nothing truly compares to a thoughtful hand written thank  you.

Auctions and fundraisers are for a good cause and a great way to connect with your community. Spring is typically the kick off for most charities so be keeping an eye out for some out-of-the-box fun for you and your family by attending these events! We are blessed to be a part of them and I know you will be as well.

We had the joy of photographing the Skey family who had purchased a gift certificate from a silent auction. They were a wonderful family to photograph!
